An Invitation to Participate in Complexity Conversations

Complexity seems to be everywhere, in the weather, the environment, the increasing convergence of sciences and technologies, the social, the economic, and the political - to name a few dimensions. Many emerging strategic concepts including Effects-Based and Network Enabled and the operational environments of Joint, Inter-Agency, Multinational, Public (JIMP), Defence, Diplomacy and Development (3D) and more, all evoke a deep entrenchment in complexity.

What do we know of complexity? Are leaders to become 'strange attractors' focused on stabilizing positive patterns and amplifying desired effects? Are development projects to inevitably become built-design endeavors? Are procurement projects fated morph into the herding of cats? Will transformation creep into perpetual revolution? Can we become proficient with operations being 'out-of-control'?

If you are curious about complexity, and would like to engage with others with a similar curiosity about complexity you are welcome to join a nascent community of interest on this topic.

The aim of this community will be to foster ongoing conversation and exchange of information, ideas, concepts, questions and knowledge in a multidisciplinary forum. Participation is at one's leisure and hopefully the emerging conversation will be both enjoyable and rewarding for all involved.
